Before submitting your Application it is important to note the following:

All properties within the City of Courtenay are subject to Tree Protection and Management Bylaw No. 2850, 2017.

The information requested on this application is necessary to fully evaluate your request for a Tree Cutting Permit. Completion of this application does not guarantee approval of a Tree Cutting Permit. No works may commence before a Permit is issued.

An Agent Authorization form OR letter from the property owner(s) authorizing the applicant to cut and/or prune trees on the property is required. It must be signed by both the property owner(s) and the applicant(s). (PDF or JPG format, maximum file size of 3.0MB)

If no Civic Address, please include the Parcel Identifier (PID) located on the Certificate of Title.
Please note, for Hazardous Trees an arborist report is required.
Include rationale for tree removal and steps taken to preserve existing trees. If pruning a protected tree please indicate here.
